Pre-trip celebration in Austin, Aug 7-11 โ before everyone flies to PV.
We originally planned a bigger event on Aug 8, but with so much on the calendar in PV, we're distributing the celebration across the week instead. Aug 8 is now an intimate small dinner, and Aug 9 opens up as the big pool day where everyone can join.
๐ก Change of plans: We shifted away from a big birthday dinner tonight. If you were hoping to celebrate with us in Austin, please come join us the next day for the pool day on Aug 9!

A milestone like this deserves more than a single night โ so we've been celebrating in stages, with the people who matter most.
We kicked things off in style with a dinner among close friends and family โ the first toast to a milestone year. Good food, great company, and the official start of the countdown to 50.
It set the tone for everything that followed: this birthday was always going to be about the people, not just the date.
From there we headed to Puerto Vallarta with our friends Dan and Erin for a taste of what's to come โ sun, ocean, and the kind of easygoing days that make a place worth returning to.
And it turned out to be an eventful one. A cartel incident on our last day had us extending the trip another three days โ and somehow that only made us love the place more. We're still going back!
That's the trip that sealed the decision. PV had everything we wanted for the big celebration, and it made the choice for us.
For a while, this was going to be a full-blown Greece adventure โ booked, planned, the whole thing. But between longer flights and bigger logistics for everyone traveling, we kept coming back to one question: where can the most people we love actually join us?
In the end we're genuinely happy we chose the easier destination. PV is simple to get to, easy to enjoy, and that means a celebration with our people โ not just a postcard. Greece, we'll get to you eventually.
